Green Energy Midstream – at Intermodal Center- Current and Upcoming Projects in Millersburg

Site Plan

Green Energy Midstream is proposing to begin operations at the previously approved Mid-Willamette Valley Intermodal Center located at 3251 NE Old Salem Road.  They have requested and received a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) to allow for the receipt and trans-offloading of renewable diesel fuel from rail cars to tank trucks for direct distribution throughout the region.  No onsite storage of fuel is planned.  The initial expectation is receipt of up to 20 rail cars a day resulting in approximately 80 truck trips out of the facility on a daily basis.  They are also planning on marketing the site as it was originally designed for the receipt and shipment of containers.

In addition to the development requirements previously placed on the Intermodal Center, Green Energy Midstream is required to meet all new requirements associated with the approval of the CUP, prior to beginning site operations.  The truck trips associated with Green Energy Midstream count toward the facility’s maximum trip count as previously approved for the Intermodal Center operations.
