Millersburg Fire Station 15
The construction project for Millersburg's new fire station is now completed. This community fire station, which will be operated by the Albany Fire Department under our current intergovernmental agreement for emergency services, will replace the fire station south of Conser Road across from City Hall, which was placed in 2018 as a temporary facility until the design and construction of the permanent station could be completed.
The new, permanent fire station will be located off Old Salem Road, south of Conser Road. To serve the new station and adjacent industrially zoned properties, as well as a new commercially zoned area north of the new fire station extending to Conser Road, a new street, named Transition Way, will be constructed extending west from Old Salem Road generally in the area of current cut-out for a future street.
Below you will find the design concepts for the new fire station. The station and site layout have been established to ensure functionality and operability, as well as to accommodate future growth. The intent of the exterior design is to reflect Millersburg’s industrial heritage while serving as an example for future development of our commercial and industrial zoned areas.
