Comprehensive Plan
The City of Millersburg's Comprehensive Plan is intended to guide land use planning in Millersburg based on the City's vision for growth management. Comprehensive Plan policies are utilized as part of the review criteria for many types of discretionary land use applications. The 2001 Comprehensive Plan was completed as part of the City’s Periodic Review since its acknowledgement by the State of Oregon Land Conservation and Development Commission in 1983.
The most recent revision, October 2020, provides text amendments targeted to revise text that impacts constancy between the new Development Code and the Comprehensive Plan. Another major change was in the map system. Prior to the adoption and revisions, the City used a one-map system for the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Map. This was changed from a one-map system to a two-map system giving the City a stand-alone Zoning Map and a stand-alone Comprehensive Plan Land Use Map.
The Millersburg Comprehensive Plan is a living document. The City is currently in the process of updating the Plan, one chapter at a time. The Housing Chapter is currently being updated.
