Timberlab- Current and Upcoming Projects in Millersburg

Site Plan

Timberlab, a subsidiary of Swinerton Construction, is in the process of purchasing 33.51 acres of industrial zoned land east of the Burlington Northern/Portland and Western Railroad with access off Conser Road.  Timberlab was the primary contractor for the new wood roof structure adorning the PDX airport expansion project.  Timberlab/Swinerton are employee owned companies and have shared the importance and value they place in their employees and the communities they are located in.  Their Millersburg facility will manufacture Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), an exciting new construction method that is seeing significant growth worldwide.

The facility is proposed in two phases.  Phase 1 is a new 185,000 square foot (sf) manufacturing facility and Phase 2 is planned to be an 85,000 sf fabrication and finishing building.  Additionally, the site could potentially contain a future building of up to 126,000 sf.  They are expected to begin construction this fall, with an expected operational date of early 2026.

This project has the potential to provide up to 100 new jobs with an average wage of $80,000, which far exceeds the current county median wage.  The investment associated with Phase 1 is estimated at $117 million.
